Summary: This magazine provides readers with current events, political viewpoints, and other news from business and entertainment from the previous week. While this magazine is not necessarily targeted for teens, The Week is more concise and easier to read than competitors Time and Newsweek.

Genre: American current events magazine
Reader’s Annotation: The Week will keep you up to date with what is going on in the world.

Reason for Item’s Inclusion: As mentioned previously, The Week is much more concise than other weekly publications. This magazine is a nice supplement to social science classes. The political cartoons can also be used in various subject-matter classes (social studies, English language arts, mathematics) to demonstrate analysis and writing techniques which are a component of Common Core.
