Westley leaves in order to make enough money to marry Buttercup. Before he leaves, he promises that he will always find her -- his one true love. Westley’s ship is overtaken by pirates, and since he is presumed dead, Buttercup agrees to marry Prince Humperdink. Before the wedding, Buttercup is kidnapped by Inigo Montoya and his band of two, but a masked stranger follows them. Does Westley fulfill his promise in the end and find Buttercup?
Critical Evaluation: Based on the novel of the same name by William Goldman, The Princess Bride has all of the elements of great fairy tale, but in a much more satirical way. The movie enjoys a cult following and is one of the most oft quoted movies. It won the 1988 Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation.

Viewer’s Annotation: True love will always conquer all.
Genre: Romance; Comedy; Adventure

Reason for Item’s Inclusion: I love the reading of the fairy tale within the movie. I never tire of watching it.
